Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club – Not Just for Families

Aruba BeachLocated on Palm Beach in beautiful, sunny Aruba, Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club puts you in the heart of all the fun this island paradise has to offer. Casinos, water sports, shopping, dining, festival parades, and activities for the kids are just some of the things available to you in this 21 mile strip. Back at the resort, one and two bedroom villas offer fully equipped kitchens and accommodate up to 8 guests (4 guests in the one bedroom) to provide the perfect home base for your vacation.

I would like to focus on some of the more adult oriented adventures for those of us who enjoy letting loose once in a while. Not all of us have children, and let’s face it, those that do can use a break every now and then!

Aruba CasinoThere are quite a few casinos in Aruba, so whether you want to try your hand at some slots or have a seat at a blackjack or poker table, buying a timeshare in Palm Beach, Aruba is the perfect fit. Look no further than the Marriott Resort to visit the Stellaris Casino, or venture out to the Renaissance Mall to the Crystal Casino or the Seaport Casino in the Renaissance Marketplace.

Feel like a night out on the town? For some live jazz music be sure to check out Soprano’s Piano Bar. If you want to move your feet and party, then Senior Frog’s or Gusto dance clubs are located right in Palm Beach Village. And if rock is more your style, stop by the Hard Rock Café. I prefer a nice Dutch pub setting myself, and Rembrandt Café is just that, located near the South Beach center in Palm Beach.

Aruba PelicanIf you are looking to buy a Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club timeshare, whether as a great family destination, or as a fun-filled adult getaway, Premier Timeshare Resale and our licensed RE/MAX agents are here to help. Contact us anytime with any questions about your perfect Palm Beach, Aruba vacation!

Marriott-Starwood Merger on Track – Plus New Rewards Details

We have been following the proposed MarriottStarwood merger with interest, as these two powerhouse names in the travel industry join forces. At the end of March, the third-party consortium which was led by Anbang Insurance Group pulled their offer, leaving the field clear for Marriott and Starwood to continue with their planned shareholder meetings to approve the deal.
Merger2Both company’s shareholders overwhelmingly approved Marriott’s purchase of Starwood, and the merger is expected to be completed by the middle of this year. One of the biggest questions for the consumer has been what the rewards programs will look like following the merger, as both companies have unique programs for rewards. Marriott has begun to share what their plans are for rewards going forward. For a time, it appears they will attempt to run two parallel programs, until they can complete the integration into one new program for all the brands involved.
Concert hallSome of the elements of the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) program that Marriott has indicated they are including in their new rewards program will be an Experiences Marketplace, Elite Concierge Service and Guaranteed Late Check-out. The Experiences Marketplace will give Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards Members the opportunity to redeem points for special events, including sporting events, theater tickets and other interests. This is expected to be available to existing Marriott Rewards members in late May.
Hotel RoomElite Concierge Service and Guaranteed Late Checkout will be benefits available to elite members of the Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards programs. The Elite Concierge Service will match a member with a concierge to help them plan for their “unique needs” before, during and after their stay in a Marriott property. Marriott is planning to make this service available first to an introductory group of Elite U.S. members and expand from there. Guaranteed Late Checkout will launch worldwide on May 16 and is a benefit for current Gold and Platinum Elite Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carton Rewards members.
The value of being a rewards member with Marriott has increased with these announcements and should be a relief to those in the Starwood Preferred Guest program. We can’t wait to see how the implementation of these new benefits goes, and will continue to watch the completion of this merger and its effects on the travel and hospitality industry.

at the local ski resorts. Except maybe when that countdown includes snow in the forecast! There is already a dusting of snow on top of the Wasatch Mountains here in Park City, the resorts have started making snow and even better, there is a chance of accumulating snow in our forecast this week.
This summer, Vail Resorts officially announced that they were merging Canyons Resort and Park Downhill SkierCity Mountain Resort into one entity to create the largest ski and snowboard area in the nation, simply called: Park City. Vail acquired management of Canyons Resort in 2013 and purchased Park City Mountain Resort in 2014 giving them this unique opportunity. The newly combined resort will have 7,300 skiable acres.
To accomplish this merger, Vail is investing $50 million dollars in capital improvements, including building “Quicksilver,” a new 8 passenger gondola that will connect the two properties. Vail just announced that this new

lift, plus additional improvements like a new restaurant (Miners Camp), renovations to two other restaurants (Summit House and Red Pine), upgrades to two popular lifts (Motherlode and King-Con) and trail improvements, should be completed in time for the 2015 holiday season (Christmas week). Park City is set to open November 21 (the Saturday before Thanksgiving).
The merger has heightened interest in Park City timeshare properties. These properties include many of our best sellers like Marriott’s Summit Watch and MountainSide resorts, plus Westgate Park City Resort & Spa and The Lift Lodge (formerly Sweetwater). Other great timeshare options in Park City include: Park Plaza, Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Sunrise Lodge, Skiers Lodge, Park Hotel Condominiums, Park Regency and a new Wyndham Resort (a ski-in, ski-out resort located on the former Canyons Resort side of Park City).
If you have your heart set on a yearly ski-vacation in Park City, contact us today to learn more about a timeshare ownership. Looking for something for this year only? We have weekly rentals also available, fill out a rental form on our website and we will do our best to match you with the vacation of your dreams. Bring on the snow!

New Marriott Vacation Club Locations

Marriott Vacation Club continues to expand their North American and worldwide presence, with two brand new acquisitions in addition to the three new Marriott Vacation Club resorts being added in Hawaii, Miami, and San Diego. The two new resorts are located in Australia and Washington, D.C.

Australia's Gold Coast

Australia’s Gold Coast

In August, Marriott purchased the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa Gold Coast in Queensland on Australia’s Gold Coast. Currently Marriott plans to convert eight dedicated floors into 88 one bedroom and studio vacation villas for timeshare ownership. They expect that the first units will be converted and a new sales gallery will be completed in the first half of 2016.

Australia’s Gold Coast
boasts 300 days of sunshine each year and is known for ideal year-round temperatures and ideal surfing conditions. Long established as a popular Queensland tourist destination, the Gold Coast offers more than can be explored in just one vacation, with national parks, surf beaches, entertainment, restaurants, shopping and more right at your doorstep. This is an exciting addition to Marriott’s Asia-Pacific offerings.

Back in the U.S., Marriott Vacation Club purchased 71 rooms in the Mayflower Hotel located in the heart of Washington, D.C. with plans to make them part of the Marriott Vacation Club ownership program. These units are available now through the Marriott Vacation Club Destinations exchange program.

Balloons Over Bend and Other Oregon Attractions

oregon-coastHow often do you dream of the mystical Pacific Northwest?

Personally, I think about it all the time. My family used to rent a beach house on the Oregon coast each summer and my sister and I would anxiously look forward to our week on the cool beach and in the majestic mountains.

There are a lot of cool things going on in Oregon all the time, which is another reason it’s such a great place to travel.

20150724_211330_resized_1One such event is the annual Balloons Over Bend festival, which took place last weekend. Premier Timeshare Resale’s own Rachael was even there, celebrating with her family.

This was a special year for the balloon festival. For the last 25 years, healthy family resource, Saving Grace, has thrown a children’s festival, that encourages safe, positive family interactions in the community. This year, Balloons Over Bend paired with the advocates at Saving Grace to throw a bigger children’s festival for the whole family to enjoy.

The weekend consisted of bouncy houses, a dog show, a bike rodeo and more. And they also featured a special LEGO NINJAGO interactive area for kids to play, build, fly and learn more about Saving Grace’s Imagine Life Without Violence program.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival went to support the programs Saving Grace provides the community, such as an emergency shelter, a 24-hour hotline, emergency transportation, safety planning, support groups, children’s advocacy, community education and more.

20150724_211334_resizedAll weekend, families rose with the sun to watch the stunning balloon launches at dawn. Attendees could even witness the magic of Nightglow as glowing balloons took off on Friday night, shining brilliantly against the dark sky.

Bend, Oregon has more to offer than just this exciting annual festival. Like much of Oregon, Bend is an outdoor-lover’s paradise. Mountain biking, rafting, hiking and fishing opportunities abound just minutes from downtown. In the city, the sidewalks are filled with hip patrons sauntering being boutiques and eateries year-round.

While Oregon is a great place to visit in winter if you’re a skier or snowboarder, it is also full of fun summer activities. The outdoor concert venue along the Deschutes River just outside of Bend is a popular spot for artist of any genre to entertain wanting audiences.

Speaking of Deschutes, you’ll find the delicious Deschutes Brewery in Bend, and hundreds of tasty microbreweries scattered throughout Oregon. You’d be remiss to not try a few new brews at one of the many tasting rooms.

portland-oregonIf you haven’t been dreaming about the Pacific Northwest, it’s time to start. And Premier Timeshare Resale can make your Oregon vacation dreams come true. With five timeshare resorts in Bend and 25 total timeshare resorts from Newport to Redmond, our timeshare resale agents can help you find the right property wherever you want to go.

Buying a timeshare resale is a great investment in family fun. Get the family out of the house next summer and make memories that last a lifetime. I know that the times my family spent on the Oregon coast will remain some of the best childhood memories I have.

Starwood Vacation Ownership: New Branch Revealed

seaside-resort-chairsAs we talked about in a previous blog, Starwood is making some changes to its structure and inventory. Adding new resorts and expanding their vacation ownership division were big announcements in March, and we’ve been eagerly awaiting more information about these exciting opportunities since.

Well, the wait is (somewhat) over. On Tuesday, Starwood gave us a tantalizing taste of their newest spinoff: Vistana Signature Experiences Inc., which is set to be completed by fourth-quarter 2015, said a news release.

VSE (an acronym of my own design) will be a publicly traded company.

“Today’s filing is a pivotal step toward the planned spin-off of our vacation ownership business, which will allow us to continue participating in the timeshare industry while seeking to create stockholder value for both companies,” said Adam Aron, Starwood’s interim CEO, in a prepared statement on Tuesday.

Summer-bathers-umbrellasThe Starwood spinoff will continue to develop and operate Starwood’s 22 timeshare resorts, including vacation destinations such as Hawaii, Orlando, Mexico and the Caribbean, as well as additional anticipated locations at Westin Los Cabos, Westin Cancun, Westin Puerto Vallarta, Sheraton Kauai, and Sheraton Steamboat-owned properties Starwood expects to transfer.

We plan to follow VSE and Starwood as these resort powerhouses continue to grow. This branch is, if anything, a testament to the growing industry that is vacation ownership.

Are you already on board? Or is it time for you to invest the most valuable thing of all, getaways and quality time?

Wyndham Vacation Resorts: It’s Time to Take a Second (or First) Look

Wyndham Vacation Resorts, long passed over in favor of Marriott’s extensive Vacation Club inventory, is worth taking a second (or first) look. Wyndham has a large network of resorts in North America and is actively expanding their presence in some exciting destinations such as Taiwan and Australia.

A quick glance at a map of Wyndham properties tells you that they have a strong North American presence. Whether you want to be on the west coast, Wyndham_Floridaeast coast or anywhere in between, chances are Wyndham has a property for you. Wyndham Vacation Resorts has Club Wyndham Plus Resorts in locations such as Daytona Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Myrtle Beach, San Diego, and three of Hawaii’s islands. For the theme park crowd there are strong offerings in both the Anaheim and Orlando areas. And for those who hunt powder in the winter, Wyndham has resorts in Lake Tahoe, Colorado and a new resort in Park City, a ski-in, ski-out all condominium property at the Canyons Resort by Vail.

Club Wyndham Plus Resorts properties offer the traditional timeshare resort experience, with Wyndham_Poolstudios, one or two bedroom units. Some properties also offer three and four bedroom units. Upgraded units with the designation “presidential unit” are offered in some locations, these units typically include upgrades in the unit size and finishes. Most Club Wyndham Plus resort properties have at least one pool on-site, many have other amenities, including additional pools, hot tubs, game rooms, mini-golf courses, playgrounds and other family friendly features. Many Club Wyndham Plus properties also offer programming for those who wish to focus their vacation on the property.

Wyndham uses a points system for Club Wyndham Plus reservations, offering a great deal of flexibility for owners in booking the vacation of their choice. The amount of points needed for a reservation varies according to the unit size, season and property itself. But the average ownership available on the resale market can get you a two-bedroom unit at many Wyndham properties for one week during Prime Season.

The best news of all is that on the resale market, Wyndham is an attractive option for buyers. Most Wyndham ownerships sell for pennies per point, netting you an annual vacation for an affordable price. With a large network of resorts in some of the most popular destinations in the US, Wyndham Wyndham_Vacationmight be the hottest deal available in the Timeshare Resale market . And if you are already a Wyndham timeshare owner and you have had your years of fun, but are now ready to sell, there couldn’t be a better time. Premier Timeshare Resale can sell your Wyndham timeshare for you. We’ll do all the work from finding a buyer to ensuring it’s closed properly and transferred by Wyndham.
