Ski-in, Ski-out: a new Breckenridge timeshare at Peak 8

For winter wonderland enthusiasts, this bit of news from the DenverIJournal website may come as welcome information. Breckenridge Grand Vacations, the developer of timeshare favorites such as Grand Peak Lodge 7 and the popular Grand Timber Lodge, has just purchased property for timeshare development at the base of Peak 8 in Breckenridge, Colorado from Vail Resorts, Inc.

The current property, the Bergenhof Day Lodge, will be razed, and new construction will start on a 75 unit, ski-in, ski-out property, with plans to widen nearby ski trails and expand the on-mountain summer activities. Part of the intention is to connect the mountain activity to the Historic Main Street District of Breckenridge and improve the vacationer’s experience.
The project should generate between $2.5 and $3 million dollars for the city itself in taxes and revenues, but it remains a very controversial issue for local owners and property developers.
