Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club – Not Just for Families

Aruba BeachLocated on Palm Beach in beautiful, sunny Aruba, Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club puts you in the heart of all the fun this island paradise has to offer. Casinos, water sports, shopping, dining, festival parades, and activities for the kids are just some of the things available to you in this 21 mile strip. Back at the resort, one and two bedroom villas offer fully equipped kitchens and accommodate up to 8 guests (4 guests in the one bedroom) to provide the perfect home base for your vacation.

I would like to focus on some of the more adult oriented adventures for those of us who enjoy letting loose once in a while. Not all of us have children, and let’s face it, those that do can use a break every now and then!

Aruba CasinoThere are quite a few casinos in Aruba, so whether you want to try your hand at some slots or have a seat at a blackjack or poker table, buying a timeshare in Palm Beach, Aruba is the perfect fit. Look no further than the Marriott Resort to visit the Stellaris Casino, or venture out to the Renaissance Mall to the Crystal Casino or the Seaport Casino in the Renaissance Marketplace.

Feel like a night out on the town? For some live jazz music be sure to check out Soprano’s Piano Bar. If you want to move your feet and party, then Senior Frog’s or Gusto dance clubs are located right in Palm Beach Village. And if rock is more your style, stop by the Hard Rock Café. I prefer a nice Dutch pub setting myself, and Rembrandt Café is just that, located near the South Beach center in Palm Beach.

Aruba PelicanIf you are looking to buy a Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club timeshare, whether as a great family destination, or as a fun-filled adult getaway, Premier Timeshare Resale and our licensed RE/MAX agents are here to help. Aruba Surf Club: Your Spring Break Haven

Aruba coastSo, your days of keg stands and bikinis are over. But that doesn’t mean spring break should be. Now you’ve got kids that need to be entertained for a week and spring fever from the sunny weather that makes it impossible to stay inside. Spring break doesn’t have to be spent partying on a beach in Miami, but it should still be your chance to get away from it all and try new things. And where better to explore this time of year than the colorful Caribbean?

Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club timeshares are flying off the shelves, and for good reason. The tropical climate of the Caribbean is perfect vacation weather year-round and the outdoor activities are sure to wow the kids and awaken your youthful side. Plus, Marriott’s signature service guarantees a generous staff and premier amenities that make travel a breeze. Still not convinced? Here are five great reasons why an Aruba timeshare should be your next purchase.

1. Beachfront access to one of the best beaches in the world

Consistently voted as having some of the best beaches in the world by tourists and travel experts alike, Aruba beaches are worth the trip. Sure, you can find beaches in California, Florida, and Hawaii, but they don’t measure up to the sugar-white sands and crystal clear waters of the Caribbean.

aruba fishBecause of the warm, calm waters, Aruba offers some of the best snorkeling opportunities (we will get into that later) and the perfect place for children to play in the ocean. Palm Beach, which is the two-mile strip of premier sand that Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club sits on, is one of the best beaches in Aruba and the resort offers beachfront access. You can walk out of your room and onto the sand with ease.

2. Ice cream, waterslides, and spas…oh my!

If you’re going to get any rest on this vacation, you need to keep the kids moving and smiling. Let the youngsters play on the resort’s waterslide or in the lazy river and reward them with a cool ice cream from the poolside bar. These amenities alone will make this spring break an unforgettable vacation.

Plus, Marriott’s kid’s club can entertain the kids while you get your much-needed relaxation. The resort’s full-service Mandara Spa can rejuvenate you on your journey to nirvana while the little ones are on their own adventure.

3. Feel at home

Marriott’s timeshare villas are more than just a hotel room. This resort’s two- and three-bedroom villas are stocked with a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer, making this premier resort feel like your own cozy vacation home.

When traveling with children, these amenities can make all the difference. You can pack light since you can wash clothes, leaving plenty of room in your bags for souvenirs, and you can make the kid’s favorite snacks without breaking the bank. Traveling with a timeshare villa makes your spring break that much easier!

4. Spend the day in premier snorkel conditions

Because of Aruba’s small size, snorkeling around the island is easy to access. Large groups of tropical fish hang out in fairly shallow waters (usually 12 feet or less), so it will be easy for the kids to float around and find colorful, awe-inspiring fish.

A catamaran day cruise is perfect for a quick trip out to sea. Discover unique fish, sea turtles and dolphins with the whole family, giving you lasting memories and exciting photos for the spring break scrapbook.

beach family5. Explore the natural wildlands

Ignite the kid’s curiosity (and possibly your own) exploring the undeveloped areas of the island. Aruba is full of unique wildlife and interesting landscape. The family will be mesmerized by the dreamlike divi-divi trees and dramatic rock formations.

For a truly unforgettable experience, travel to the many caves in Aruba, covered in mysterious rock drawings and stalagmites. The nearby Huliba Cave is a 300-foot long corridor of discovery and adventure.

Don’t give up on spring break. Even though the scenery might change, taking a break from the day-to-day grind and rejuvenating after a long winter is vital to living a happy, healthy life. Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club offers more than a resort, it’s a place for discovering new things, testing your limits, and creating lasting memories. Come to think of it…spring break hasn’t changed all that much.

Aruba, Jamaica, Ooh I Want to Take You to…

Marriot’s Aruba Ocean Club! I just spent a week staying at Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club, which is conveniently right next door to Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club on the left and Marriott’s Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino on the right. ArubaIf that is not enough, The Ritz Carlton Aruba with its own casino featuring Aruba’s only Baccarat table is adjacent to the Marriott Aruba Resort & Stellaris. It’s like having your own little Aruban haven of Marriott services and amenities.

Listed below are some of the perks we most enjoyed on our stay.

• Personal Beach Palapas. Head out early and score a waterfront Palapa. Marriott offers free Palapas to guests and Marriott attendants will even set up your towels and lounge chairs for you. Not to fret, even you like to sleep in like me, you can get a Palapa for you and your family a little further back. To be honest, I kind of liked being midway because it was an easy walk to the pool or beach!

• Pool Bars – With multiple Marriotts comes multiple pool bars. Swim up to any pool bar and cool off your body while cooling off your taste buds with one of many frozen tropical drinks to choose from. Pina Coladas seemed to be a favorite among guests.

• Activities – Marriott always has great activities on site and these resorts boast their share. From daily volleyball games to Zumba to massages on the beach. You name it, they offer it!

• Restaurants – There are multiple restaurants to choose from on-site: Pavilion Grill, Ocean Café, La Vista, Simply Fish, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Ketsu Sushi Bar, Waves Beach Bar & Lobby Cafe. We enjoyed a Wednesday special at Champions Sports Bar with 2 for $20 burgers and $5 Margaritas. We also loved the fish tacos at ocean front dining offered at Simply Fish. A night was not complete without a baked good for dessert from the Lobby Café!

• Palm Beach – Marriott Aruba Ocean Club is located right on Palm Beach. The best beach in Aruba. You can walk the entire beach from Palm Beach to Eagle Beach in about an hour. You’ll find Palm Beach packed with beach bars, floating restaurants on piers, and activities like wind surfing, kite surfing, wave runner rentals & more. The kids seemed to really enjoy being pulled behind watercrafts in their raft of choice.

• Palm Beach for Shopping & Dining – After a day on the beach or poolside, you can walk just a stone’s throw away to the shopping and dining mecca of Palm Beach. There are several blocks of restaurants and shops to choose from. You can find all kinds of cuisine in Aruba, with seafood options on most menus. Prices also range from casual dining to higher-end fine dining options. We enjoyed Giannis, Tandoor, and Salt Pepper. However, our favorite meals were right on the beach at Sea Breeze Restaurant & Bar and brunch at Ruinas del Mar at the Hyatt. Even if you don’t eat at the Hyatt, a walk through the resort grounds is a must-do and will give you a feeling of serenity.

ArubaA week is just not enough to sink your teeth into everything Aruba has to offer. My husband and I can certainly see the appeal of owning a timeshare to come back again and again. We’ve been lucky trading place to place with our Marriott timeshare weeks. I can see how it would be difficult to pick just one place, and with Marriott Vacation Club, the beauty is, we don’t have to! I can’t wait to find out where we’ll trade to next!
