When Timeshares Come in Handy: Separate Vacations

If ever we needed an excuse for traveling more, here it is. Founder and Mom Executive Officer of VacationKids.com, Sally Black’s article in the Huffington Post addresses the potential nightmare of packing up the family and heading to the hills with a warring faction of kids in the backseat. The answer? Separate vacations.

Ms. Black offers some good ideas, like father-son fishing or camping trips; mom-daughter shopping trips; pre-college Paris exploits and beachside weekends with one parent. While separate vacations can be expensive, they don’t have to break the bank. Weekends away can be done on a budget, and traveling for a few days several times a year instead of a long trip far away can actually feel like more bang for your buck, with more frequent breaks to refresh.

We’ve all been told (or had the good luck to experience for ourselves) the magic of Disney, but other fantastic weekend destinations with the kids can include places closer to home. Ms. Black’s whole point is not to entertain the kids, but to spend quality time with them, and you don’t need a fancy theme park for that. Plus, if your family owns a timeshare, splitting the week, using the lock-out option, or allocating some points to a few days in your resort can help make the vacation more affordable too.

Buying a timeshare may be a great option for your family if you’d like to take frequent or regular vacations. Owning a timeshare and membership in a reputable trade company can get you virtually anywhere in the world you want to go. Don’t be discouraged by the bickering kids in the backseat. Split ‘em up and spend special time with them individually, or, as Ms. Black suggests, leave them at home for a grown-ups weekend away to recharge and reconnect. Then you’ll have more energy and resources to manage the family once you return!

If this sounds like a good idea, and you’d like to see what kind of timeshare options could be right for your family, contact one of our licensed Realtors today for free. Or, just get in your car and pitch a tent in the closest State Park and sleep under the stars with your kiddos: you won’t regret time spent with them, and they’ll remember it forever.

Everyone wants a piece of Saratoga Springs: sell yours now!

I don’t know if we tapped into that collective unconscious with our last post, or added to it through our blog, but this past week, Premier Timeshare Resale has received multiple inquiries from buyers looking for Disney timeshare resales at Disney’s Saratoga Springs. Great. Wonderful. Fabulous. Now we need you to sell them.

And no wonder! Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is located in Orlando (Lake Buena Vista, to be more accurate), Florida, in the heart of the Walt Disney World area. In fact, when guests want to visit Downtown Disney, all they have to do is hop on a boat and get ferried over. (It doesn’t get much more magical than that.) Saratoga Springs, New York, was a Victorian retreat in the late 1800s that was known for its spas and horse racing. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa was inspired by (and closely imitates) the historic locale with all its charm and style.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs timeshare properties are nestled between the rolling hills of the neighboring, and award winning, golf course and the peacefully reflective Village Lake. Known for creating worlds of enchantment, Disney almost outdoes even itself in its Treehouse Villas, a wondrous attraction of the Disney Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. Treehouse Villas are elevated ten feet off the ground, and offer three bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, flat-screen TVs, private decks, driveways and charcoal grills. Plus, with multiple playful pools, waterslides, whirlpools, and waterfalls, Disney Saratoga Springs timeshares don’t disappoint moms, dads, grandparents, or the kiddos.

“We know all this,” you say. “We’re the ones who want to BUY Disney Saratoga Springs timeshares.” So here’s where I say:

If you own a Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa timeshare, contact us today to hear what kind of price we can get for you NOW.

Buyers know that this property is hot, and if you’re a Disney Saratoga Springs timeshare owner and are ready to invest in another property or different kind of vacationing, Premier Timeshare Resale has buyers for your Disney Saratoga Springs timeshares, and a lot of them, so you will get the most for your property if you sell now.

We don’t need to tell you why Disney is great. We’ve already done that (and most people already know from the enduring love we all have for characters and that first moment at a Disney Park); we just need to get the word out for owners wanting to sell Disney Saratoga Springs, the time is now.

Disney Timeshares: Owning the Collective Unconscious

Disney is kind of an American collective unconscious. We’ve seen the princess films (in our childhood or with our own children).  We’ve come to know and love Mickey Mouse, either through eight-minute cartoon shorts in which characters stumble through (oftentimes just barely) a conflict to come out embracing each other, or through the repeatedly formulaic, half-hour Disney Jr. animated shows where a flying toolkit, “Toodles” provides the characters with every-day objects meant to help them constructively solve problems. We have Disney-themed gear, clothes, toys, games, and parties around our houses. We have

disney-timeshare-resalemovie stars (not least of whom are Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Keri Russell) who got their start singing and dancing in Mickey’s Clubhouse. And even counterculture feminist wannabe rebels like me take their two-year-old daughters to meet Tinkerbell in Pixie Hollow because we know the experience is going to blow their minds.

Our first trip to a Disney theme park this summer was one I reluctantly enjoyed (see the counter culturist reference above). But I was honestly impressed with the cleanliness, the amount of options and leisure available, and the real-life Disney wonder of the park. It was well-run, efficient, comfortable, and interesting, and walking around the theme park was surprisingly enjoyable.

Some fun (and convenience-making) news for enthusiastic (and reluctant) fans of all-things-Disney is that Disney’s Polynesian Resort, the oldest resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando, is expanding. Disney Vacation club is adding timeshare units and updating guest areas, and the new Disney Polynesian timeshares are expected to open in a little over a year.

Disney’s Polynesian timeshare expansion comes on the heels of remodeling of the other two timeshares in Disney World with monorail access to the Magic Kingdom: the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Bay Lake Towers.

Owners of Disney timeshares can expect to see the refurbishments in the Disney Polynesian resort in 2015, and Disney timeshare enthusiasts would do well to look into the Disney timeshare resale market now. Always in high-demand, Disney timeshare units sell quickly and at desirable prices.

Labor Daycation Ideas

As we near the end of August, many of us are planning end-of-summer exploits to commemorate the dire heat and drought or make a last effort to bolster warming memories before the chill of autumn settles in. Here are a few ideas for labor-day which is often a three-day weekend observed by schools, businesses, and government employers.

Day Trips: a great way to quickly get away for an afternoon. Choose a spot nearby and picnic on a lake, canyon rim, or forest floor and observe the last long days of bustling wildlife activity. Or venture to the nearest metropolitan area and indulge in an outdoor concert, festival, or symphony performance. Washington DC, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and other major metropolitan areas around the US host labor day festivals and parties worth attending before we’re locked in to another school year or drearily ongoing work year.

Camping: An especially great activity if you’ve got kids, pack up and go for a quick weekend away. Driving only a couple of hours can help cut down on travel stress, and packing s’mores and grill-able foods like hot dogs and hamburgers can create a festive and nostalgic atmosphere sure to be remembered.

Theme Parks: Six Flags parks, Disney parks, water parks or mini amusement parks can be a great way to spend the last weekend of summer with friends and family. With enough activities to keep everyone busy and interested, you won’t be bored! More than just rollercoasters, theme parks offer musical shows, restaurants, beer tasting rooms, and life size mazes and harvest activities.

Beach: A flight to the nearest beach can be a glorious last hurrah to soak up golden rays before clouds roll in and the temperature drops. Sandcastles, tide-pools, and finding seashells are age-old family-approved activities, and many beaches offer waterside accommodations. Waterside timeshare resorts like the Hyatt Highland Inn in Carmel, Marriott’s Harbour Lake in Orlando, or Marriott’s Barony Beach Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina are appealing for kids and adults alike with nightclubs and game-rooms for the kiddos.

Sink Holes and Disney World: Florida has it all

It’s happened before, and it’s happening again: the state where primo timeshare destinations are around every bend in the road is literally caving in. Florida’s city of Clermont saw crumbling buildings at the Summer Bay Resort on US Highway 192, and several guests were evacuated.

The buildings in the resort near Disney World in Orlando were severely damaged and have been marked for repair.

Owners of Disney timeshares in Florida can rest assured their properties remain standing and un-damaged. Whether it’s the Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando or Disney’s Animal Kingdom or Boardwalk Villas or one of several others in Lake Buena Vista, the Florida Disney timeshares remain intact.

Now that the weather will soon be cooling off, consider a trip to where it’s always warm and unlock the magic of Disney vacation ownership through buying one of the properties resale through Premier Timeshare Resale today. But do watch where you step…

Old Faithful Inn: Lodge of the West (and sundry)

Lodges, Resorts, and the West

It began with the Arts and Crafts Movement in the early 20th Century and took root in the American West. Its artistic and political roots emphasized simplistic form and individual craftsmanship. Some of the best original examples of architectural Arts and Crafts buildings are located in America’s National Parks like Yosemite and Yellowstone.    The Ahwahnee Hotel at Yosemite National Park opened in 1927 and is constructed of stone, wood, concrete, and glass. Its sweeping rustic architecture has been incorporated into the country’s very identity and it was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.   Also a National Historic Landmark, the Old Faithful Inn at Yellowstone National Park is actually the oldest lodge in the U.S. Construction began in 1903 with a log pole interior framework for seven stories and a roof walk that once held searchlights to illuminate the geyser at night.  These buildings were instrumental in the Great Architecture of the West, and at the start of the 21st Century, Disney opened the Grand Californian in Anaheim, California. The Grand Californian Hotel by Disney was created to accommodate increased traffic in the area due to the Disney Parks but still captures the key elements of the Craftsman style: wide roofs, projecting beams, and exaggerated colors that blend with nature.  TimeshareAnnie (that’s me!) is embarking on a two-month long road trip exploring several National Parks in the western U.S. with a stop in to visit Disneyland in California. I’ll actually get a chance to stay in the Ahwahnee Hotel on the 4th of July! Look ahead for follow-up articles with photos and commentary on some of the hotels and resorts I experience along the way.   The Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland in Anaheim, California offers vacation ownership. Disney timeshare resales hold their value well and offer amazing amenities and service.   Disney timeshare resales are in high demand, so if you want to sell a Disney timeshare, contact our to licensed agents here.  Browse California timeshare resales here.
