The Hilton Valdoro Mountain Lodge in Breckenridge is one of our favorite properties in the Colorado Rockies. This resort offers numerous benefits and enticing ownership options, particularly affordable on the resale market.
In this article, we discuss location, amenities, ownership types, floor plans and much more!
Location
Shuttle Service
The Valdoro is located only a few minutes walk from both Breckenridge Village and from the Peak 9 base lifts, offering access to the slopes and breathtaking mountain views. Although the resort is not “ski-in / ski-out”, the shuttle service to Beaver Run only takes one to two minutes. In our numerous stays at this resort, we never waited for the shuttle for more than five minutes, whether drop off or pick up.
The shuttle also runs to town by request. The shuttle can be dialed by a direct phone number, which the front desk provides at check in time, and they are always timely and responsive. For summer time stays, the Valdoro is a great option for walking over to the mountain, accessing many trails within minutes.
A Lively, Yet Family-Oriented Resort Town
Also within a few minutes walk is the core of Breckenridge village, with a myriad of restaurants, shops and art galleries. There is no dispute that Breckenridge is one of the most lively, family-oriented, and friendly resort towns in the Colorado Rockies. The lodge’s rustic yet sophisticated design blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings, providing a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Amenities
Valdoro also offers plenty family-friendly on-site amenities. Let’s explore what this resort has to offer.
Aqautic Amenities
Hot tubs are located on the ground floor, offering a chance to relax with your friends and family. A heated outdoor pool is also available to guests, and is perfect for unwinding after a day of outdoor activities.
Fitness Center, Arcade & Full-Service Spa
The fitness center offers both cardio equipment (treadmills and stationary bike), as well as strength training equipment (weights and resistance training machines). An arcade game room is a fun place for families and friends to gather and play, and a full service spa welcomes guests as well.
A Skiers Paradise
The location of the lodge provides easy access to a wide range of outdoor activities. In winter, guests can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and ice skating. During ski season, a seasonal rental shop is available for equipment rentals and sales.
We have to take a minute here, as avid skiers who experienced many I-70 corridor luxury ski resorts, to acknowledge the amazing staff and customer service at the Valdoro. The front desk and ski valet staff are a welcoming family every time we return, and many have been with the resort for a very long time.
Meanwhile, summertime offers hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and golfing.
Parking & Check-In
As of the date of our article, Wi-Fi is free at the resort, and parking for one vehicle is also free in the covered garage. The covered garage has a generous clearance, allowing us to park our SUV with the ski box on top, which is not always the case for ski resorts. The garage is located right under the building, with easy elevator access to the rooms, making it easy and warm to load and unload luggage and ski equipment. The ski valet will store your skis and ski poles. Our check in and check out of this resort is always quick and smooth.
Taxes & Fees
Please note that beginning July 1, 2023, Owner and Member reservations at Valdoro Mountain Lodge will be charged a $6 per night Business and Occupational License Tax and Accommodation Unit Regulatory Fee, payable upon check-out for all stays under 30 days, imposed by the Town of Breckenridge. This decision was approved by the Board of Directors on May 2, 2023. Currently there is no other fee payable for the stay at this resort for owners and their guests.
