Hyatt Vacation Club Updates Points Allocations For Colorado Resorts

breckenridge-colorado-ski-slpoeHyatt Vacation Club has introduced some notable updates for owners of The Residences at Main Street Station, The Residences at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, and The Residences at Mountain Lodge. These changes aim to address the growing demand for Colorado summer vacations. Specifically, the updates include adjustments to the points allocation for the Float Time period, set to take effect beginning with the 2026 Use Year.

This article outlines the details of the updated points allocation and explains how these changes may impact owners. It includes key information regarding adjusted point allotments and reservation requirements.

Increase in Points Allocations

Starting with the 2026 Use Year, owners of The Residences at Main Street Station, The Residences at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, and The Residences at Mountain Lodge will benefit from an increase in points allocated to their Home Resort Preference Period (HRPP) and Float Time. These additional points will be deposited into owner accounts on September 1st, 2025, for us in the 2026 use year.

The updated point values will not impact maintenance fees, which continue to be based on each resort’s operating expenses.

Reservation Requirements Updated for 2026

With the adjustments to Float Points values set for 2026, the reservation requirements for accommodations at these resorts have also been proportionally updated. Essentially, the number of points required to book a stay will increase at the same rate as the Float Points allocation. This ensures reservation costs are fairly aligned with the updated points allocation, meaning reservations for owners will cost the same number of points as the updated points allocations.

Impact on Colorado Hyatt Vacation Club Owners

Although the points required to reserve accommodations are increasing, these changes are identical to the additional points provided to owners. This effectively balances out home reservations, ensuring there is no substantial impact on owners’ ability to book at their home resorts.

However, the increase in Float Points offers added flexibility beyond home reservations. Owners can use the extra points for stays at other resorts within the Heritage Collection, exchange them through Interval International, or convert them into World of Hyatt Bonus Points. This expanded flexibility provides more opportunities for members to have additional flexibility when traveling outside their home resort.

Updated Points Chart Availability

The revised points chart will be available in the Owner Resources section on The Lounge later this summer. It will help owners plan their future vacations with the updated system and be an important chart to watch as they navigate the new points structure.
