Let it Snow

Park City

As the temperatures continue to fall here in Park City, Utah, I can’t help but think about our next big snow fall.

Our mountains are already capped in sparkling white powder. Seeing this, despite the lack of snow lower down the mountain, my almost 4 year old daughter has been campaigning to hit the slopes for weeks.

Driving around town, I can already see the resorts prepping for ski season, which is right around the corner!

Opening Day

Park City Mountain Village and Canyons Village plan to open Wednesday, November 21, 2018.

Deer Valley Resort, who recently joined Alterra Mountain Company, should follow shortly thereafter on (or around) Saturday, December 8, 2018.

Girl Skiing

Epic Pass

Thankfully, I already have my Epic Pass! Meaning I get to enjoy stress-free skiing on Park City Mountain and Canyons. I can ski all day or just a couple of hours, depending on how I am feeling or how my kids are doing. Ski to lunch? Don’t mind if I do!

For anyone who has yet to get their Epic Pass, it is not too late! They are still available for purchase before November 18, 2018. And you gain access to 65 resorts!

Whether you are traveling to VailBreckenridge, Telluride, the Canadian Rockies, Hakuba Valley in Japan, or getting your ski on in Europe, they have you covered.

Ikon Pass

If the allure of Deer Valley Resort is more your style, you can check out the Ikon Pass, which allows you the option to enjoy up to 26 other ski locations in North America as well as destinations in Canada, Chile, Australia, and Japan.

Ski Season is Upon Us

Either way, if skiing or snowboarding is something you enjoy, it won’t be long now. We will be able to shred fresh powder in Park City, possibly before the month is up. While I have yet to gain the experience on the slopes to match my husband’s skill level, I look forward to a great ski season. During which, I can hopefully acquire some new abilities and take on new challenges. Challenges like keeping up with my 3 year old, who has yet to learn fear. No doubt, she will be passing me on the slopes before the season is through.
